INSIDE OTHER SPACES: ENVIRONMENTS BY WOMEN ARTISTS, 1956–76

Bottega Veneta presents Inside Other Spaces: Environments by Women Artists, 1956–76 at the Leeum Museum of Art, a major group exhibition dedicated to immersive environments created by pioneering women artists between the 1950s and 1970s. Originally conceived by Haus der Kunst Münich, the exhibition revisits a key moment in art history when artists across continents expanded the boundaries of artistic practice through spatial, sensory, and participatory works designed to be entered and experienced.

Spanning eleven full-scale reconstructions by artists from Asia, Europe, and the Americas, the exhibition explores light, sound, movement, and space as active components of artistic expression. The Seoul presentation also includes two significant additions: a reconstructed environment by Korean artist Kangja Jung, shown for the first time since 1970, and Dream House by Marian Zazeela, La Monte Young, and Jung Hee Choi, marking its first presentation in Asia.

On 4 May, a full-day programme accompanied the exhibition, bringing together a series of talks and performances with leading figures from across culture. The day fostered dialogue between disciplines and concluded with a live performance by geomungo artist Dawool Park and vocalist Mijo Jung.
