BOTTEGA VENETA FOR THE ARTS
A NEW COLLABORATIVE SERIES OPENS WITH PETER FRASER
Introducing ‘Bottega Veneta for the Arts’, the first in a collaborative series commissioned by Creative Director Louise Trotter. The series fosters an ongoing dialogue between the house and contemporary practitioners working across various media, inviting creatives to respond to its heritage through their unique artistic lens.
Opening with British photographer Peter Fraser, the inaugural series reimagines Venice as more than just a historical and cultural landmark, but as a living site for inspiration. The photographer highlights textures, forms, and colour through micro vs. macro shots of the city, capturing both intimate details and architectural grandeur.
Born in Wales in 1953, Fraser’s early years were shaped by time spent in New York and extensive travels across West Africa and Europe, experiences that profoundly informed his lifelong engagement with photography as a means of exploration. In his own words, he has lived “...a life absorbed with photographing the luminous and mysterious beauty of the world, in search of poetic truth. ”
