Bottega Veneta Weaving Light
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of its opening, the Bottega Veneta Omotesando Flagship introduces Bottega Veneta Weaving Light, a special presentation by Venice-based Japanese glass artist Ritsue Mishima.
Featuring her works selected from Venice and Kyoto, including a site-specific piece created especially for the occasion, the presentation explores the dialogue between materiality and light, bringing a piece of the house’s Venetian artisanal heritage to Tokyo.
Named Komorebi, the site-specific work draws inspiration from the Japanese word describing sunlight filtering through leaves, as well as the architecture and light of the Omotesando store, designed by Toyo Ito.
