THE COLLABORATIONSFALL - WINTER 2011/2012

ROBERT POLIDORI

FALL -
WINTER
2011/2012

"What is unusual about Robert’s work is that it both documents and interrogates. His attention to detail creates layers of meaning that extend beyond the formal beauty of his images. I was interested in seeing what would result if he turned his lens on Bottega Veneta’s design and the brand’s roots in the Veneto, specifically Venice."

ROBERT
POLIDORI

Robert Polidori’s best - known photographs are of abandoned rooms devoid of people but filled with the detritus of their lives. They have been called memory boxes because what is captured in the aftermath of these lives, paradoxically beautiful despite the wreckage and decay, is the unwitting stories of its inhabitants over time.
