Bottega Veneta is about the genius and passion of the artisans for whom nothing is impossible. When Creative Director Tomas Maier joined in 2001, he knew the only way to reinvigorate the company was to reconnect with its heritage of craftsmanship, and focused on its most valuable, but underutilized resource – the artisans – with the aim to put the product first, while always moving forward in terms of innovation. Our artisans create with an extreme attention to detail, high precision and relentless perfectionism; with their hands, eyes and heart, they turn leather craftsmanship into an art.
