BOTTEGA VENETA ANNOUNCES ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SHANGHAI CENTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Bottega Veneta announces its partnership with The Shanghai Centre of Photography (SCoP), one of the most prestigious photography institutes in China, starting in January 2017: the house will support four key international exhibitions held at the Museum, confirming its strong commitment to art and culture, honouring also Creative Director Tomas Maier’s lifelong dynamic relationship with photography.

The 2017 SCoP exhibition program includes international photographers from various contemporary decades. The first exhibition, from January, is “Made In Germany: German Photography from the 19th Century to Today”, an overview of German photography from the Pictorialism to the Bauhaus and the West German Documentary.

The Shanghai Centre of Photography, located in the West Bund — the “new cultural corridor” along the Huangpu River- is the city’s very first space that is dedicated entirely to photography. SCoP’s mission is to showcase the best of International and Chinese photography in all its diverse genres for the public audience in Shanghai.
