In Milan, Bottega Veneta hosted a chic and elegant cocktail party at the Palazzo Trivulzio, an 18th-century architectural jewel located in the heart of the city. The palazzo, designed by Giovanni Ruggiero for the noble Sforza family, one of Milan’s most storied dynasties, is filled with centuries of extraordinary antiques and art that date back to the Renaissance. In a gesture characteristic of Milan’s hidden beauty, guests, including artists, aristocrats, high society, and press from the world, passed through an imposing portal into a breathtaking, flower-filled courtyard. Ascending a grand staircase, classical notes from a pianist subtly situated on a landing echoed throughout, even as guests moved from room to room. While discovering Bruce Weber’s short film and envisioning the soul of the Bottega Veneta fragrance, its supple and seductive scent suggestively filled the air. It was a magical atmosphere and people lingered long into the night, wrapped in the mystique of the past and the beauty of the present.
