Tokyo – Bottega Veneta is pleased to announce the three students (from left), Noriyuki Sato, Emi Kotabe, and Yukina Koike, who have been chosen to travel to Italy and participate in a 3 month advanced course developed by Bottega Veneta, in collaboration with Universita luav di Venezia and Giacomo Rumor – Centro Produttivita Veneto Foundation, encompassing bag design and product development.
The initiative was presented in September 2011, open to students who have been affected by Japan’s March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The decision to sponsor the initiative is in keeping with Bottega Veneta’s continued efforts to support the next generation of designers and artisans, while continuing to give back to a region that has close ties with the brand.
The three students have left for Italy as of end of January 2012, and will be periodically writing about their experience on http://www.bottegaveneta.jp and on Bottega Veneta’s Facebook page. (https://www.facebook.com/bottegaveneta).
