Location: Miami, Florida LA-based artist Alex Prager, a fast-rising star in the world of photography, is known for sharp, boldly colored images inspired by pulp fiction and the cinematic conventions of such directors as Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch. Her point of view is playful and provocative and her imagery surreal, an interesting contrast to the real-life ease and sophistication of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection “The collection is very much about real life and natural movement while Alex’s hyper-real images are like an alternate universe,” explains Tomas Maier. “I love the energy of the contrast.”
